Lessons from the Stage
Recently, I had the privilege of watching my nephew perform as Charlie Brown in his high school musical. He had never acted. Never taken a voice lesson. He simply said yes to something new.
What followed was nothing short of inspiring. Not only did he rise to the occasion - he delivered a performance filled with heart, confidence, and joy. But what touched me most were his words in the program: he credited his peers for teaching him, challenging him, and helping him succeed.
This moment reminded me of a universal truth:
Growth doesn’t start with experience — it starts with a decision to try.
It also reinforced another truth we hold dear at Strongly Rooted:
We grow faster when we don’t go it alone.
Whether you’re stepping onto a literal stage or into a new leadership role, remember:
You don’t have to be perfect to begin.
You just need courage, commitment, and connection.
The right people can help you grow into something amazing.
Let this be your reminder to step forward. Take the risk. Say yes. And be the kind of leader who helps others say yes too.
"You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great." - Zig Ziglar
